What makes Joker Backgammon boards unique?
The standout feature of our boards is the Signature Interchangeable Surface. Unlike traditional boards where you are locked into one look, our system allows you to swap out the playing field in seconds. You can change from a classic felt to a bold, modern design without buying an entirely new set.
How do I swap the playing surface?
It’s incredibly simple! We designed the board so you don’t need any special tools—just your doubling cube. Use the cube to gently release the surface from its secure locking mechanism and slide in your new design. It locks back into place for a seamless, budge-proof fit.
Will the surface move during play?
Not at all. Each surface is engineered with a secure-lock system. Whether you are playing a heated tournament match or traveling with the board in a backpack, the surface remains stable and flush with the frame.
What is the difference between the 23” and 16” boards?
- The 23” Tournament Board: Designed for the serious player. It features professional dimensions and ample space for analysis. It’s the "gold standard" for home play and competitive environments.
- The 16” Social Board: Built for the player on the move. It is compact enough to fit in a backpack or play on a small cafe table, but it uses the same high-quality materials and interchangeable surface system as its larger sibling.

Do you sell additional surfaces separately? What about checkers?
Yes! The beauty of Joker Backgammon is that your board can grow with your style. You can purchase new surface designs individually to refresh your board whenever you like. Similarly, you can purchase single sleeves of checkers to match your new surface, or for a new look with your current setup!
Are the dice and checkers "professional grade"?
Absolutely. We are players ourselves and obsess over the details.
- Checkers: Weighted for a satisfying feel and designed to glide smoothly.
- Dice: Our 23” sets include precision dice, ensuring a fair and professional-grade roll every time. Want to upgrade your social board? We have precision dice available to add to your order, in colors that complement your board!
What comes included with my purchase?
Each board set is "ready-to-play." When you order, you will receive:
- (1) Backgammon Board Frame (16" or 23")
- (1) Interchangeable Playing Surface of your choice
- (30) Checkers in two colors
- (2) Pairs of Dice (23” Boards come with precision dice)

🛠️ Care & Maintenance
How do I clean my board surface?
To keep your points looking sharp, we recommend using a lint roller for dust. For spills, use a slightly damp (not wet) microfiber cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the playing felt or leather.
How do I maintain my checkers?
A quick wipe with a dry cloth will keep them shiny. If they get sticky from use, a tiny bit of mild soapy water on a cloth followed by immediate drying will do the trick.
📦 Shipping & Support
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We ship our backgammon boards worldwide. Please note that for international orders, you are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees charged by your local government.
How long will it take to get my order?
Shipping times vary depending on your location. Once your order is processed, you will receive a tracking number via email so you can follow its journey.
🔄 Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy?
We want you to love your new board. We accept returns of products in new, unused condition within 30 days of delivery. The item must be in its original packaging.
How do I start a return?
Simply email us at returns@jokerbackgammon.com with your name and order number. We will provide instructions on where to send your return.
Who pays for return shipping?
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
- US Customers: We can provide a pre-paid label for you, and the cost will be deducted from your refund.
- International Customers: You must arrange your own trackable shipping.
When will I receive my refund?
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will process your refund to your original payment method. This usually takes 5–7 business days to appear on your statement.
Can I exchange my board for a different style?
Exchanges are handled on a case-by-case basis depending on our current stock. Please email returns@jokerbackgammon.com to discuss an exchange.
What if my board arrives damaged?
We’ll make it right! If your order is damaged, defective, or incorrect, please email us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the issue. We will arrange a replacement at no cost to you.

Is my personal information safe?
Absolutely. We use industry-standard SSL encryption to protect your data during checkout. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Do you store my credit card information?
No. Your payment is processed securely by our third-party partners (like Stripe or PayPal). Joker Backgammon does not see or store your full credit card details.
How can I stop receiving marketing emails?
